Save the Date: Join ACCORD for Peaceful Pairings in May

The Board, Staff, and Volunteers of ACCORD join in inviting your company to join ACCORD’s Peaceful Pairings, an evening of wine tasting, hors d’oeuvres and a silent auction at Remlik’s on Friday, May 11th, 2018 from 6:00pm-9:00pm. This event is attended by prominent area business owners, community members, attorneys, wealth professionals, and judges.

Last year’s fourth annual Peaceful Pairings was a huge success with over 120 donations for our silent auction, 10 food items, 4 desserts, 12 different types of wine and beer with over 150 people participating in our event.  We look forward to making this year an even bigger success!

This event is a vital source of income supporting our volunteer mediation program which provides thousands of individuals and businesses an opportunity to alternatively resolve conflicts each year. This event will allow ACCORD to recruit and train new community volunteers to help peacefully resolve conflicts.

We invite local businesses to sponsor this event. Sponsorship’s range in price and help underwrite the cost. In return, businesses receive recognition on our invitation, on our website, in the program at the event, and depending on the sponsorship level, much more. In addition to sponsoring this event, local businesses are asked to consider donating any products or services to be auctioned off in our Silent Auction to take place at Remlik’s on the night of the event.

Last year more than 4,542 individuals and businesses participated in ACCORD’s mediation programs. This resulted in thousands of dollars saved in court costs but more than this, it provided the opportunity for people to resolve their differences and move forward with their lives. Whether it is:

  • The young couple who recognize they cannot be together but both still want to support and love their child and help them develop;
  • The business owner that wants to be paid but understands the customer is suffering due to our economic times and is willing to work out a way for both to win; or
  • The cliques of students in conflict and whose parents are now escalating the problem all have benefited from mediation.

Your support of ACCORD’s Peaceful Pairings will help ensure that all contributions raised at the event can be put directly toward the recruitment and training of volunteer mediators. For more information contact our Executive Director:

Kacey Ellsworth at 724-5153 ext 302 or at kaceye@accordny.com

Thank you for your consideration of this vital organization and program. Together, with our volunteer mediators, we can provide an opportunity for the peaceful resolution of conflict.
